Jobs for Stay At Home Moms (SAHM)

Posted in Freelancing by

Hello Hello F22 crew!

I know SO many of you are mothers out there! And as if that wasn’t hard enough, tons of moms are looking for a way to supplement their income (whether they are stay at home moms, or 9-5 working moms). So I thought I would put together a little list of services YOU can offer as a stay at home mom! No need to put the littles in daycare, you can do all of these from your own home. And I promise…there are no MLMs!

6 Perfect Ways a Stay-At-Home Mother can Make Money Fast

Freelance Writing

You can write your own checks with a freelance writing job! You can experiment with different types of writing like content creation, copywriting, or creative writing.  There are many options when it comes to finding employment.  The most popular include websites that allow you to work when you want like Upwork.com, Fiverr.com, or Freelancer.com. The best part is, since you can pick what topics and assignments to take, you can change your work load depending on your needs. If the holidays are coming up, you can totally take on more to cover presents! And you only have to write about what you LOVE! No boring topics!

Web Development

Web development is a very lucrative option for those who want to work remotely with a bit of experience. The job is to create and design web pages by using your design and coding skills.  If you invest the time to read and watch Youtube videos this self-taught career path can earn you a six figure salary!  They also have online boot camps that will skyrocket your learning progress and help you land your first web development gig. I actually learned all my website designing skills from my first blog, and now I make thousands of dollars doing it for small businesses!

Graphic Designer

Why not design custom logos, banners, and graphics for a living? Graphic designers are in high demand and can get jobs anywhere from freelance websites to long-term careers!  The best part about being a graphic designer is the flexibility that comes with having a deadline for a project.  If you can learn how to use Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator online the possibilities are endless.

Photography

Taking pictures for a living is a perfect way to make money. Freelancers, business clients, and bloggers are crazy about buying images.  Choose when you want to work by taking pictures on your own time and putting them for sale on the internet.  Invest in a good camera and a course on Udemy.com and you can start making extra money right away.

Customer Service Representative

Plenty of companies are hiring remote customer service representatives. You will help customers navigate through different products and services from the comfort of your own home.  You must have a computer and additional technology that meets the hiring companies’ requirements as well as a quiet area to work. This option is for those who would rather have safe income that starts the second they land a job.

Baby Sitter or Pet Sitter

Some companies require that you leave the home to watch small humans or animals, but just as many companies will let you bring them into your own home. Make sure everyone gets along and that you have good insurance to do this, but it can be very lucrative! If you’re already making snacks and watching kids movies with your child, why not add one or two more? You can also create a great word of mouth marketing campaign through Facebook groups and local community pages!

So which side hustle strikes your fancy? I personally think web development or baby sitting is the best bang for your buck, but the great part about working remotely is that you can mix and match based on your life and skills!
